Senior Religious Education

The Islamic Studies program at Darul Ulum College of Victoria exposes students to a wide range of faith based sciences including the spiritual, historical, theological, behavioural and jurisprudential aspects. The program is not solely based on the practice of imparting knowledge to students, rather it’s underpinning philosophy is based on self-reformation whereby the student and the teacher alike are on the same journey in acknowledging their roles as the vicegerents of Allah in the world.

This program is more commonly referred to as Tarbiyah within the institution. In an attempt to avoid employing a fragmented approach in the process of delivering the Islamic Studies program, and in appreciating that the role of self-reform is not confined to the Islamic Studies teachers per se, the College aims at integrating concepts of universal and religious values and practices across the curriculum and in different key learning areas.
