Secondary Standardised Assessment

Standardised Assessments at Darul Ulum College of Victoria are being used to inform teaching practices and student achievement and growth over the years. External standardised assessments, such as Progressive Achievement Test (PAT) and National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests are conducted once a year. Each student’s growth is measured in a continuous PAT scale for Mathematics and English.

School Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) are being standardised within the school using statistical moderation, and CAT reports are provided to teachers indicating cohort participation and recommendations for further improvement of CATs.

At the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) level, CAT reports and student data (NAPLAN, PAT and school data) are further used to measure individual student growth, subject and class performance
