Darul Ulum College of Victoria was established in 1997 on the premises of the ex-Fawkner North Primary School and is located approximately 12 kilometers from the CBD. The College was founded by a group of parents who made the commitment to establish an educational institute that could nurture the academic and spiritual needs of their children. The small community embarked on the challenge of transforming the school from its meager beginnings of catering for only a handful of students, to reaching a population of over 950 students. The College places a strong emphasis on maintaining an environment that is supportive of Islamic ethos and Australian values; the school has both primary and secondary schools on the same campus. The unique school environment, along with the College’s high standard of teaching religious morals and values is a focal attraction for the community.
