Across the school 21 categories are being offered and contested at different year levels from Foundation grade up to VCE classes from both girls’ and boys' campuses. It is a great opportunity for students to strengthen their connection with the Qurán. Expression of interest took place during the first 2 weeks of Term 3 with preliminary rounds taking place within the classrooms. Semi-finals testing took taking place from week 4 onwards to select the top 5 students who will compete in the finals.
Imagine the abundant reward on offer for each letter being recited and each ayat revised in preparation for the Competition. We look forward to listen to and be inspired with the beautiful recitation from our students during the week long grand final week and encourage parents to continue supporting and motivating their children in perfecting their recitation and memorisation of the Qurán.
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Rasulullah (peace be upon him) once said, “One who is well versed in the Qurán will be in the company of those angels who are scribes, noble and righteous and one who falters in reading the Qurán and has to exert hard for learning, gets double the reward.” (AlBukhari)
